Challengers of Oldham County, Kentucky, Inc, (Challengers) is a 501(c)(3) and has been providing substance abuse prevention services in Oldham County for over 20 years. Challengers is the only organization in Oldham County that focuses specifically on substance abuse prevention. Challengers is supported by an all-volunteer board and an all-volunteer coalition from all sectors of the community. Local residents work closely with city and county governments, local businesses, parents, civic groups, law enforcement, social services, healthcare workers, churches, and schools.
Monthly coalition meetings are open to the public and are held the second Monday of each month (except in July and December) at noon at the John W. Black Community Center in Buckner, Kentucky. These coalition meetings are designed to help inform and educate members to address drug, alcohol, and tobacco issues within the community.
